Picked up the (prov) dates/venues for the Trackday trophy series from Msv at the Autosport show on Sat.
Delighted to see both Cadwell and Donington on the calender this year..
V impressed with Msvr, been v helpful and suportive of us rookies, seem to have a lot of enthusiasm for the series.
Also spent a small fortune at the show on kit smile
Any more Phers competing in the series ?

17/2 Brands trackday (pre season friendly)
19/3 Snetterton 300
21/5 Cadwell park
17/7 Brands Hatch indy
14/8 Donington
10/9 Anglesy int
22/10 Oulton Park
Looks good smile

Entered an S1 Elise that we've been trackdaying for a few years. Race dates have changed slightly now and Oulton has been added..
Seems to be all manner of cars looking at last years line up and MSVR seem keen to promote the series and are v helpfull.
Sounds like they are hoping for close to full grids this year.
What type of car are you looking for ?

I raced in the TDT last year - great fun and was my first experience of racing as well.
I echo the sentiments about MSVR's enthusiasm and help. They have really made it easy and enjoyable.

I'm in the Ford Puma in class D (up to 125bhp/ton) - hope to see you out there this season!

Have a look at the CSCC series as well - similar formats, 40 minute races for 1 or 2 drivers - I wonder where MSVR got the idea from??!!

Perhaps a daft question but do you have to compete in every event, I'm interested in entering my Elise, but with two under 2 babies, high maintenance wife and running a business personal time is severly limited. It appeals to me that it is over one day as opposed to a couple. I'm going to pop along later to Snetterton in March to see if it's for me.

I think you can just pick the events that you can manage,
Be good to have a few Elises in the series, dont think any entered last year. Btw is your Elise Honda powered ? (looking at name) If so i think it would be over the max 200bhp/t limit..(at wheels)
Think our Elise around 175-180 bhp/t so either class A or maybe just slip into B .
Looking forwards to the preseason Tday at Brands next thurs, meet the oposition 'gulp'

Hi Matt. You don't have to compete in every event. You would just need to register for the series (£75 i think) and then the race fees for each event (in the range of 300-400, can't remember exact figure).

looking for a hot hatch of some description as me and the other potential driver in the team would prefer FWD. Clio 172, Saxo VTS and 106 rallye are all possibilities. Of course there quite a few Golf GTI's already prepped out there as well. Decisions decisions...
