After two successful years the televised Autoglymn supported Historic Festival will now move to Mallory Park and will be held over two days on the 18th/19th June 2011 so is now assured of being even better now the Northern lads that race with the club will not have the distance difficulties getting to the event that they did at Lydden.

Apart from all the usual club races including the Classic & Historic Pre 66's, Post Historic Pre 74's, Historic Group 1 pre 83's, Pre 93 Touring cars, Boss Fords and the exciting Classic Thunder with cars like Andy Robinsons awesome Aussie Falcon and Joss Ronchetties fastest brick in the world (Sunbeam Lotus) is gives me pleasure to announce there will also be races for the Landsdown Classic Motorcycle Series so this must be pretty unique in the UK a shared Bike and car meeting and can only add to the excitement of the weekend. I have watched these guys race and believe me they give it everything and the noise is incredible so if your bag includes Vellocette Vipers, HRD's, Manx Nortons AJS7R's BSA Goldies etc then this is definitely a date for the diary. In fact this will bring me full circle as it was at Mallory that I witnessed my first ever race and that was motorcyles way back in the 60's.

There are further very exciting developments in the pipeline that I will update here as soon as firmed up but for now this is a definite date for your diaries and a chance to see the races that Jeremy Clarkson competed with in his DVD Clarkson's Italian Job where he was so positive about what the club do.

Pretty unique Pablo, I have only ever been to one in my entire racing career.

Glad you are up for this one Andy, Lydden was a bridge too far for some of you guys so hopefully this will be a resounding success.

I think that Pablo is possibly alluding to the Plum Pudding race - a combined car and bike race meeting that takes place every Boxing Day at Mallory.

It didnt last time because of weather! Also I went the year before and there was some odd type of bikes racing, funny things looked like they were designed for off road events with littly wheels not at all interesting IMHO, what you will see at our meeting are true historic bikes like AJS 7R's, Velocettes, Manx Nortons, BSA Rocket Gold Stars etc.

Super Moto? Sort of rallycross for bikes?

BTW, Mallory have just announced that the Paddock & circuit will be resurfaced & that there will also be further safety improvements.
