I read somewhere this was developed for use on aircraft propellers and similar applications. Does anyone put it on the vulnerable areas of race cars? In particular I am thinking about areas on my race car that would have had stone chip and/or underseal when it was a road car but now just has paint that requires regular rework.

You may find this thread of interest. Although not applicable to competition circumstances, the same should apply:

Helicopter tape on the leading edges of wings/splitters (if you have them) and stone chips elsewhere. They're lighter! smile

I've tried both and would recommend spending the money for 3M - although not necessarily with Demon Thieves.

I use these chaps for tapes, glues and the like.
