Hi,

Does anyone know how much an early Formula Rotax (1998 I think) in need of recomissioning would be worth?

It's a Mike Wright chassis with a sealed FR125 with only about 6 hours total use. It hasn't been used for about ten years. It's been (dry-ish) stored - there's some rust on the exhaust and the seals in the brake master cylinder have perished, but it's otherwise thought to be good.

Having a quick look in the PH classifieds I'd guess a good one would be worth about £1,300 - so maybe £650?

Cheers,

Chris

i think £650 is about right to be honest, good examples of regularly used racers are around £1000 at the moment but dont hang around for sale that long. most buyers will probably want to get the engine checked if its been stationary for a while so the sealed engine and low running hours isnt much of a selling point unfortunately. providing its straight and not twisted, it should sell quite easily though.

i use www.kartpartsuk.co.uk or ww.spellfame.co.uk for bits and pieces
