Longacre scale electronis help

We have a Longacre 7263 scale system.
The control / display box is going bananas. The weight values are fluctuating constantly.
As Longacre are in the States......does anyone know somebody that could have a look at it for us, near Milton Keynes would be handy..!

Is it battery or mains powered?
We have a similar system that refuses to work when plugged in to charge. Fluctuates constantly when the battery is low, and then wont stabilise until charged and unplugged.

If it isnt that, I'm afraid I cant help much!

Thanks Matt,
It is mains or battery. Goes bananas even when plugged into mains.
I wonder if the battery is at fault which the mains charger can't overcome....dunno.
