We are thinking of doing the 360 Endurance race at Snetterton next April. So far I've sent 3 e-mails with no reply, anyone able to contact any of the organisers or provide alternative e-mails.
Failing that I'm open to suggestions for any other endurance events in 2011, Birkett 6 hour etc.
Is there a website for recruiting eager but novice drivers to join our team, anybody got an ideal number of drivers in a team for a 6 hour race and do you recruit reserves?
Cheers guys.

There is a chap on here involved with the race so I expect he'll be along later.

There arent any budget alternatives for a 6 hour race with one car, there are a number of relays both 4 and 6 hour where you use more than one car though.

As to the ideal number of drivers for a 6 hour 3-4 i'd say but it generally depends on how much money each driver can bring, and how long a fuel stint the car can do.

the key to endurance is spending the shortest time inthe pits..

reserve drivers, the normal problem is getting enough drivers that want to do it in the first place to make it viable... never mind having reserves...

Mavros, I am sorry that you have not had a reply - I'll check on that.

There were a few people who wanted drives this year but did not have their own car, s I am sre that there must be people available. I expect its a bit early for specifics yet but the club can probably put you in touch with potential team mates after xmas.

I think that the 360 MRC plan to have a stand at the Race Retro show in February so you could go & meet some of the organisers there.

In the mean time please ask any questios you want, either here so that everyone can see the answers or via a PM if you'd prefer.

Regards

Andy

Cheers Andy,

We haven't decided which car to use yet, we have a 1989 Supercharged MR2 which I understand could be eligible for the invitation class. Our reserve car is a 205 GTi but I don't know the condition. Let me know about this show and we'll be there.

MR2 will not be allowed in as its strictly 4 seaters.

MMM RV8 tuscan just gets in on the dates 1989, but not on the 2+2 requirement for a GT pity as i could probably find 3 of them

The 360 race in 2011 will definately be for Saloons, Coupes & GTs of a minimum 2+2 seat variety.

Not necessarily my choice but thats' the decision that's been made.

Now where do I find the money to race a Ferrari 308GT4?

I really dont understand the 2+2 requirement, you'd have though with just 6 cars on the grid they might have been interested in encouraging slightly more cars...rolleyes

I though the original regs last year were odd and restrictive and 6 cars would seem to bear that out..

in one stroke they've just banned every TVR other than a cerbera ( 2 race prepped), and a couple of tasmins ( there are 2 280i 2+2 that are race converted) were as even if you ignore all the AJP challenge cars there are 50+ TVR's regulalrly competing in the uk.. some of which may have come out to play...

Hello all

Just wanted to confirm a couple of things

Firstly, apologies with regard to the e mail situation, I do not understand why we did not receive these mails but the website is being rebuilt so we have had to sometimes take down the site.

Secondly, We are at Race Retro in Feb next year, but , if you want to take advantage of "Early Bird" discounts, please go to the website (www.360motor-racing-club.com) to take advantage of them because by feb there will be some that have expired.

Also, there is an invitation catagory, I must stress that EVERY entry is going to be revued by the 360 MRC so, you may find that it is allowed in invitation as it is in "the spirit of the event"

There are a couple of things that are going to be taking place at the 360 that we are quite excited about, one of which involves a record attempt at lunchtime. If you or anyone you know has a GULF OILS coloured vehicle (car/bike/bus youname it) and can be in attendance on Saturday 30th April 2011 at Snetterton then please e mail details to gulfcolours@360motor-racing-club.com

We have over 40 odd static endurance racing cars that will be in and around the paddock, some will give demonstation laps as well and also Radio LeMans will be live at the circuit.

There are a couple of other things happening....but more on those later

Hopefully see you there
Thanks
Claire Smith

They've not long finished the last Birkett so I expect it will be a few months yet before anything's confirmed for this year! It was all up on the 750mc site last time.
