It's my first time back at Cadwell for 20 years at the weekend so I'm getting in some sneaky testing on Friday. As I recall you access the circuit at the top of Mountain and have to lug your stuff down to the pits.

What's the score during testing? Do you have to have everything you need in the pits or can you leave / rejoin the circuit during sessions at Mountain. The forecast is showers so I want to know if I have to get the 'helpers' to drag wet tyres down to the pits to change or can I leave & rejoin the paddock during the session?

Cheers

Why not just have your stuff in the paddock and entry/exit via the standard way at the Mountain? I've never seen any bugger using the pits (although I'm only ever there on clubbie days) smile

I've only ever used the mountain exit and the entrance by the cafe on test days and track days. You should be fine leaving everything in the paddock.

The pits don't seem to be used at all on non-race days.

as said the pits are totally empty on test days & you can leave circuit & rejoin as you like from the paddock
I think cadwell/oulton are the best trackes to test on as they have so many different types of corners (& the best 2 circuits in the uk- for me)

Last time I was there for testing there was no access to the "pits". They are rarely ever used - except for endurance racing involving a driver change (Radical etc). You may be able to leave stuff in the holding grid area, but stuff can go missing, so you are best off keeping everything with your truck. HTH

I don't think it's ever used in testing because it's inaccessible during sessions even on foot. I certainly wouldn't want to lug sets of tyres up and down that hill and over the Armco either.
