Race licence lapsed.
Discussion
The time scale depends on the grade of your previous licence.
An international has to have lapsed for quite some years before you loose your entilement to renew, even then you will only have to take the written part of tye ARDS.
I think there is a 5 year cut off for other grades. I'll dig out the blue book and check for you.
Update:
National B which is over 3 years lapsed - back to square 1 ie retake ARDS
Above Nat B over 5 years lapsed - retake ARDS written paper.

Thanks, I just checked the date of my last race 'B', it was 2005, time flies!
Looks like I've got to start over again and order the 'Go Racing' pack.
Actually if you can prove your previous racing experience - lap timing sheets, official programmes etc. Then, at the MSA's discretion, they may allow a renewal without needing an ARDS. Speak to the MSA first, as always. Looks like I've got to start over again and order the 'Go Racing' pack.
