Terrible Meeting - one of the worst I have been too.
Only the Healey (left after this) and Thoroughbred races had full grids the AMOC one were so thin it was a joke.
The GT4 on had about 8 cars and the Intermarque 11. There was no real racing I sawing the GT4 race - dull as ditch water and 90 min long (obviously I did not watch much of it - much like everyone else - some of the tail end cars / driver I would not trust to get to Tesco's on their own 10 seconds off the fastest (not a race as far I could tell)!
They have hit Rock bottom (The AMOC), the pits were empty of cars and the AMOC grid were empty too - can't last long like that, the MSA will shut races series down if they cannot average 16 cars over a season.

it is small grids because of whats happend with the amoc and other stuff which i will not say on hear it will get better we hope.
its such a shame people do not have the funds to go motoracing and there are so many cars out there which could race in the amoc serris
and the gt4 race should be shortend or put as the last race know one wants to full aslseep like i did up druids

i recon a 20 minute race for the gt4 race not 90 min
well back markers add something diffrent to the race and adds a excitement to the race cause the leaders have to go out of there way to go past them.
my first race meeting was euroboss at brands hatch with aston martins and there was packed grids and there creacking race between andy jenkison and roy Mcarthy

Despite the recession etc Plenty of people have funds to go racing, as proven by the fact that several other clubs are growing in membership & running races with numerous reserves. The difference is that they are offering a product tha thet "customers" want.

yeah they carnt use the ression as a exscuse but there was a some bloke who changed the rules so it suited him and some other stuff but i gusse the people are feed up of being mucked around so they are racing in diffrent series i gusse.my dad was telling me there use to be full grids of the v8s and te other aston martins with some great drivers like gerry marshall arthur thurtle boysie thurtle andy jenkison but now look not one of them race's in it anymore

CL my point is that AMOC can't use the recession as an excuse for their poor grids, plenty of people who have raced with AMOC in the past are now taking their cars elsewhere.
Good point. But one of the issues I think the nice DB4's and 5's are not out any longer in force, in a one make championship, is that yes the cars are very expensive, BUT that they have traditionally modified these cars along the lines of the Thoroughbreds and CSCC type series (which are not fia series and are generally for car that are mainly that bit newer than the pre-66 fia stuff), i.e. you can modify the car with wider rims and run sticky Hoosier / Yoko type tyres (compared to fia cars that they would normally race against - LW E's and Cobra's etc which have period rim, tyres and brakes) and modern brakes (huge AP Racing stoppers vs the original 2 pot calipers on smaller disc's).
These cars need to revert back to this spec and go and play with the fia cars in series like the Masters. They can still run in things like the Thoroughbreds (but moust see that as below them - plus they don't automatically win! And would not in period spec ).
The AMOC need to forget running events (being the organising club) - those times are long past - they need to get with other clubs and encourage their members to come out in the same race but on other people race meetings - like the MG's (who have a huge footprint compared to smaller more expensive brands). You do not see Ferrari, AC or Porsche trying to run Historic meetings - they have race series, running on other clubs bills - this is the way forward.
And forget Vantage GT4 stuff - it is dull as ditch water - people come to Historic events to see goo racing between older cars!
