where to race my 1600 FWD?
Discussion
Hello,
I have a 1600 8v stock hatch race car that I am fed up of racing in stock hatch due to the damage etc. Where else can I race it and be in with a chance of a class win etc and where there are some driving standards, rather than the none tha seem to prevail in stock hatch.
so far I've found
WRDA Pembrey,
CSCC - although I need a bigger fuel tank for that.
anything else?

As an ex stockhatcher who left for the very same reason, I have moved into the BARC South East Tin Tops. Rules are a little more relaxed so you can make your car a little lighter, faster, more reliable and contact/bad driving is an absolute no-no.
The BARC have various different regional centres so wherever you are based you should be able race with them.

If you're oop North, then either the Northern Saloon and Sports Car Championship or the NW equivalent? Although a Stock Hatch won't exactly be competitive, there are 'up to 1600' classes in both I believe. I agree about the driving standards, it is the same in the MR2s etc everytime I see them...
