I've been there all weekend Always great to see all the different classes, and to be able to wander around the pits/paddock... Like the good old days (that I'm too young to remember).
The 70s/80s F1s were more numerous last year; today's race only had a dozen of them due to various mechanical maladies. Last year they had the 60s F1s too, not sure why they weren't there.
Great weekend though, I've got hundreds of pics to sort out!

Fantastic days racing today.
Nasty prang in the first race, but apparently the drover is stable and injuries are non-life threatening.
I missed the accident, but by all accounts it was a particulary bad one. Lets hope your right, took over an hour to get him out of the car.Nasty prang in the first race, but apparently the drover is stable and injuries are non-life threatening.

As for the length of time to extricate, I always work on the basis that the longer it takes to get a driver out the better, it indicates that their basis life systems are working sufficiently that there is time to protect the spine. It's the scenario where the ABC's take precedence potentially to the detriment of any spinal injury that is much more worrying.

'kinnel!
However, in the thread over on 10Tenths, there is very good news;

John's legs have been pinned but his feet, ankles and knees are fine and he has been on his feet already.
I was standing on the path between the pits and the tunnel so saw JG pass the start line but the accident was over the crest out of view I just saw the dust and flames. So glad that he's been patched up with a seemingly good prognosis.
As a result the Sports Masters and F1 Masters races were both cut to 20mins from 30. The Gentlemen drivers 2 hr procession however remained uncut. Is it me or did anyone else think they'd paid there money for the main events and were disappointed at the timetable re-jig?
BTW my pics are back from processing on Friday eve so I'll post some then.

You can't please everyone. Whatever happened there were going to be people disappointed. 90 minute holes in timetables have to be plugged somewhere. Piglet said:

More fool them for leaving. The final bit of the gentleman race was quite tense, very entertaining.
If you mean the Monteverde E-type / Lotus XI 'duel' then I should get some beta blockers if you found that 'tense'. There is a perfect vehicle for the paying owner, its called a track day, simply Masters got the balance wrong (IMV). Apart from Jackie O a significant number of the drivers in the Gent race were also participants in the 'main' events. If the needs of the crowds aren't given more weight then the Doc may be looking for a more lucrative use of a Bank Holiday venue.Some pics

However, I and my companions, all regular race go-ers, found that engagement a good battle that readily held the interest as well as the other action throughout the field. Maybe it helps that I can find enjoyment and entertainment from a drivers actions without them actually performing an overtake.
I had absolutely no issue with the rejigged programme and enjoyed a full day of motorsport for a very reasonable price. It's also nice that Brands serves pretty decent coffee as well.
Thanks for the offer of improved medication, I think I'll pass.
