I'm in desperate need of a low entry quick-lift jack such as this one:

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Pit_&...

the lead time on these is 20 days from Tweeks which is not good enough as I need it much sooner. I've rang round loads of places but nowhere seems to have any in stock.

Does anyone have one or know where I can get one a.s.a.p?

I bought one off ebay a heavier duty one than normal but still lightweight. I would advise one thing because I would say they all come from China and the quality is reasonable at least on mine but carefully go through the the thing and tighten every bolt as they don't seem to know how to!

I bought one of eBay - Aluminium Quick Lift jack. It had some ally!! Most of the business part was steel. It wasn't that light. It was fairly quick, but didn't last long before it spilled it's life fluids, and being cheap Chinese made toot, you can't get spares for it. The o-rings that need replacing are an oddball size - both diameter and thickness.

I had a Pace (Argo) quicklift 1 Ton NASCAR jack. Two pumps and the car is up! The handle weighs almost as much as the rest of the jack!! The downside - it's a $1800 jack! The upside - you can get every single part of it if anything breaks or wears out.

As they say, you get what you pay for.

Pretty sure the OP was talking about a real quick lift jace, ie for single seaters etc and has no working parts, oil, o rings or seals.

eg:

You'd be surprised Al.

Shorty used to use one of those on his Metro Cup car in the days before electricity. The design is simple, you just need a long pole to work the cantilever.

When you think I only use a 1Ton (Ton not Tonne) jack on the ASCAR.....

Well I can heartily recommend David Turner from Uphill Racers. Jack arrived quickly, as described - and was a lot cheaper than a well known motorsport retailer!!

Nice to have some good old fashioned customer service too!
