anyone have any idea which stages are being used this year? they are selling that £30 pack that has maps in it but the potential cost of a number of people going to their 'best viewing points' (£6 a pop if you don't have a lanyard?) is a bit of a turn off, without knowing the stages its difficult to plan where to go

keep an eye on the web site and they will publish the stages and arrival times for each of the rallies along with entry lists
jimclarkrally.com
and look for schedule of controls - they are there now for the Reivers Rally and the main event

Over full entry, B&Bs booked up solid for miles around, just goes to show how much England & Wales could benefit from closed road events.

I didn't bother with that last year. There are other ways to watch stages if you either know the area or ask people. Last year I parked up just before the road above Duns was closed along with a lot of other people, walked for about 2 minutes and was in a field beside the stage at a tight square left corner. smile

Scoured over the offical website and apart from entry lists they're not forth coming with good schedule or route information at all this time.

Hopefully as before some listed outlets are selling just programmes that include all the info you'd need instead of the full supporters packs.
A little bit of simple map work keeps you away from the offical 'spectator areas'. Just don't wind up the marshalls or take the piss with the clerks/control cars that drive through if they want you to move and all will be well.

Aye the website is a challenge to navigate - a bit like the rally really! I'm missing it this year sadly, various reasons, work, new house, money etc.....

Good luck to all the Mull crews

Calum Duffy (National), Paul MacKinnon (Reivers), Alec Brown (Reivers), Steven O'Donnell (Reivers) and even more good luck to my ride of the last few years Keith Robathan (National & Reviers).

Nahh rally is easier than the site.

Be a good compariosn Maugher vs. Calum, must admit I'd go for Maugher if I had to put money on it.

Cheers Paw! No idea how I missed the maps and schedules info.

I've got that lot saved to print out tomorrow at lunch time and mark up on a landranger sheet I've got from previous visits.

yeah if you read the road closure lists you can plot them on a map (landranger 74 and 67 think) Have to admit i did eventually get the spectator pack which does have a great map of all the stages and also good information, going with folk who have been on it before on saturday but may go on my own on sunday, think the pack will be useful for that.

Mmm, hopefully I'll get enough detail from an A3 print to mark a real map, either that or from the drawings on screen.

Hope the weather behaves. No major wash out! Expecting the sun and shower mix which makes things interesting for us spectators but hard work for the teams.

It never fails to have that sun and shower mix down there. I've never known such strange localised weather like they get in that area. Wish I was going this weekend, but missing it for only the 2nd time in 8 years due to work. Look forward to seeing some photos and videos from the event. smile
