Lohen starts 2010 Dunlop Sportmaxx campaign with opening race at Rockingham this weekend!

Lohen is proud to announce our entry into the 2010 Dunlop Sportmaxx Series. Adding yet another string to our bow, the Lohen team will be preparing and racing our Gen2 Cooper S, previously dubbed the Polar Bear. She’s had a great selection of new parts added, and a custom high white respray so looks truly superb!

So why is Lohen going racing this year?

Lohen’s first racecar build is a solid step towards altering perceptions of this award-winning business. Many consider Lohen predominantly a parts reseller and, whilst our website and expertise certainly support that, we know we’re capable of high-quality builds to rival top motorsport teams. This car will showcase Lohen’s talents, whether for our own further expansion, or to run cars for other people in the future.

In order to support this, Lohen will be using the Sportmaxx as an arena to test original products, and develop new parts to put into the MINI market. We’re confident that, after driving our MINI and its associated parts longer and harder than any road-going customers ever will, our knowledge and experience will improve our understanding of their behaviour under hard use.

Alongside that, Lohen will be further qualified to assess and make recommendations to MINI setup for specific applications based on real life use, as opposed to speculation. We would like this to support recommendations of products, and how they will combine to change the car’s performance.

Company Director, Andrey Magiy, will be taking a firm grasp of the steering wheel and putting our Gen2 Cooper S through its paces on some of the country’s top racetracks.

Last, but by no means least, we’re hoping to promote the Lohen brand, and allow the team to have some fun. It’s also a chance to invite our customers to join us and enjoy some hospitality trackside! We really hope you can join us for what is lined up to be some superb racing! Spread over 7 weekends, the 2010 dates for your diary are:

Thruxton - 28th/29th August or Donington Park - 25th/26th September*

• Donington Park date is still to be confirmed subject to track condition. Should Donington Park be unavailable the Thruxton date will be used.
