6-point harness instead of 4; same seat?

I have to swap from 4 point harness to 6 point this year.

I have Recaro SPG seats which only have holes for 4-point. Can i use 6-point without the hole in the middle, just loop them over the front?

Not really sure about 6 point.....do the extra 2 need more mounting points in the car?

Any help appreciated.

Recaro SPG seats *do* have the holes for a six point belt. Pull the seat cushion up (it's only held on with velcro) and have a look!

If they are there I'm going to feel a right berk!

So....do the extra two need extra mounts in the floor?

Yes. I believe you are not allowed to share the mounting points of the lap straps with the crutch straps.

The lap and crotch straps shared the same mountings in both the single seaters I've had and the scrutineers never mentioned it.
