Given last weekends Formula 1 racing I suspect that I now know the answer to this, but what do others think about using the Pit Lane (specifically the exit in this example) as part of the race track.

Have a look at http://www.750mc.co.uk and scroll down the page to the video window. Select 750prog2part1 and skip ahead to 03:10. (sorry I can't link this more directly)

At the time, I felt this manoeuvre was entirely out of order but after watching it a few more times and talking with others I'm not so sure. I'd welcome others opinions.

PS. have a look at 750prog2part4 to see what happens when the same overtake is attempted in the second race at 06:50 - but be sure to watch the start first!

My feeling is that as the white lines define the edge of the track, Q14.5 (a) applies - the drivers have left the track.

Do you write headlines for the Daily Mail rolleyes That's not the pit lane!! It might be the blend line for the pit lane but there is no way that is the pit lane laugh

I've used that part of the circuit but never with that much success.
Back there soon to try it again.
