Anyone sponsored by their employer?
Discussion
I'm fairly confident that the company I work for would be willing to part with some cash in exchange for a few stickers on the car etc.
I'm not talking about £000's but even if its a few hundred quid, its not to be sniffed at. All the same, I don't want to go in too low or too high if they ask how much is required.
The car is pretty much ready for the new season, so I'd really be after support with consumables and / or maybe event entries.
Has anyone else approached their employer, and if so, how did you get on?
cheers
Nick

Tread carefully! The tax man may/will see this as a taxable benefit. Been there, done that, got the T shirt and paid the tax!
Really? Your employer got fantastic advertising exposure when you ran in the Special GTs so it's not like they weren't getting a return on the money. Seems a bit of a ripoff to have to pay tax on it I'm sure the bus helped as well (whatever happened to that?).

Several 'transport enthusiasts' came to see it, including one bearing pictures of the day it was delivered to Reading Transport in 1961 bearing the registration 26 DP. He had photographs and the history of the whole fleet. A bit over the top when he lay on the floor and crawled under the bus to start checking chassis numbers and engine numbers though!
Another guy rang and said he would call on his way home. It turned out the Birmingham to London via Bristol was on his way home!
It sold for £1751 at the end of the auction to someone from Southampton area.
Quite an experience racing the Skoda at Combe and then driving the bus home on a couple of occasions.
Back to the tax aspect. We fought this very hard with professional advice and still lost.
Im actually starting Go-Karting up, used to do it 4-5 years ago, but really couldn't afford to progress, and seemed pointless competing in the same Championship.
Can afford to do it, but may not be able to compete in every round of a series, any suggestions on how to get sponsors???
I would ask a few of companies I work for but it could make it awquad and im not convinced my seniors would appreciate it either...
