A couple of random questions (Aerocatch & Steering Wheels)
Discussion
First question: I think I want flush fit Aerocatches to hold my new bonnet on... What on earth is the different between Aerocatch 1 & 2? Is it worth going for a mk 2 or is there no point?
Second question: I'm just looking at ordering a new steering wheel for the racecar, but I've never bought one before so I've no idea what sort of size I should be looking at? Going to DT to have a try of them is out of the question really as I don't have time to drive to Wales at the weekend so I need to guess basically. I'm looking at a fabric covered wheel, something good for sprint racing. I'll be adding carbon paddles for gearchanges plus some switches for dash control, ECU map etc etc so I guess i'll need some space for said switches, and not too big a wheel so I can reach the paddles. So how big/thick should I realistically be looking at? The choice baffles me...!

Re wheel size, and this sounds silly but does work. Get some cardboard and make some various size wheel shapes and basically see how they feel. Sit in the car if you can. The other tip re diameter of the grip is to get some plasticine or similar and see what size suits you.
Trying it in the car helps you get the dish / spacing correct for reach. Don't forget to consider the wheel and gear-lever relationship as well. What works for reach might be awful for then using the lever. Before I made the decision to sell it, I was going to lengthen the gear stick on my westy BEC to move the lever closer to the wheel so the time spent driving one handed was reduced.
All sounds a bit anal, but ergonomics is what I do for a living, so I like it to be spot on.
