As above really. I want to get my Bilstein shocks rebuilt and I alos need an extinguisher refilling/servincing. I'm based in the NW (Liverpool) but don't mind travelling/posting.

Can anyone recommend a good company to do these jobs?

For the extinguisher i would just find your local extinguisher company thats who i use some will say it won't have the proper stuff in, if you want it done by who ever made it get in touch with them or see if tweeks can do it not to far from liverpool.

Surely Bilstein is the best place to have your shocks done? If not, try Dampertech (Gaz).

I tried Bilstein but couldn't find any dealers in the UK - plus most of the site was in German!

Managed to get in touch with SPA Design who will refill the extinguisher.

robbie, just had my Bilstein's rebuilt by Bilstein themselves

Bilstein Technical Centre UK
ThyssenKrupp Bilstein Suspension GmbH
Unit 3 Swannington Road
Broughton Astley LE9 6TU
Leicestershire
England

A word of warning, make sure you get it in writing how long the lead time is, they messed me right around, I was told 2 weeks and it took closer to 5, but on 2 occasions when I chased I was told they were done when they weren't!mad

Thanks Taffy - not sure that's a recommendation though smile

Just out of interest - how much did they charge?

Robbie,
We can service and validate your extinguisher.
We can dyno your dampers and organise and advise on any rebuild / re-spec

£60/corner......I think what they did is decent, will find out next time I test but they and the engine buillder were the reason I'm now not racing this weekend....so be clear if you direct

Thanks Graham - does it matter that mine is an SPA Design extinguisher as I noticed you deal in the Lifeline ones?

Any idea on a rough price? It's a 3.75ltr mechanical system.

Also any idea on price for the shocks? Just need to get an idea before I start posting things out across the country so apologies in advance..........

Robbie,
If it is mechanical we can service it £40.
The only electrical systems we support are Lifeline.

May be better to dyno them to see where your at. Then make a decision. DO you want to re-spec them or just service ? The cost will depend on what is worn out...But I don't think Taffy's £60 each would be far away as an idea.

If you want a Recommendation then here is one , I used Graham at Lanan last year for my extinguisher for my formula ford and dampers.

Great Service and at an affordable price.
