Number backgrounds

Does anyone know where I can get some white number backgrounds for 9" race numbers?

Also I've seen magnetic backgrounds on Demon Tweeks but am not overly keen on puting these on my car bodywork, is there such a thing a stick on backgrounds that fit on the rear windows?? Would this format get past scrutineering??

Either get some white fablon from a DIY shop and cut them out yourself, or I have seen numbers stuck onto plain white paper which is then stuck onto the inside of the side rear windows.

I used the Demon Tweeks magnetic ones. Took a spray bottle of cleaner with me (soapy water will do) and some lint free cloth and cleaned the area of dust before attaching, so as to avoid scratching.

IIRC there are limitations on what you can put on side and rear windows without blanking the whole window for some reason.

The tasmins have a low rear window under the rear hatch. if you put any stickers on it you had to blank off the whole panel..

I'd just get some panels of while vinyl, clean the body work and slap them on. they come off easily enough if you use some heat i.e. a hairdryer..

Guys, how flexible are the magnetic jobs?
I could do with some for my S1 Elise which has compound curves on the door because of the air scoops.

I just stick the numbers straight onto the car. I find so long as you have got a good coating of polish on the panels they peel off with no problem at all.

just done my 1st hillclimb in a Clio 172 & used 3 sheets of A4 with the numbers printed in large black letters 1 per page then stuck them to the inside of the rear windows - 2 days, 2 separate scrutineers & nothing said... Like OP I'm not keen on magnetic ones being stuck on my paintwork.
