Anyone know if MSA licence holders get a discount for this?

Doesnt it depend on which day you go? the thurs/fri are trade days so you need to either work in motorsport or be a licence holder. not sure about the weekend days

Probably should have done this first! Just rang and the answer is that there was a discount available unti the 31st January but this has now expired. Which is the same as my TV that broke down on the 366th day of its one year guarantee....

I have just got my tickets.

There is a small discount for MSA license holders. But... The booking fee out-ways the discount!!

The advantage is, MSA license holders can go on the trade days. No live action, but there are 300 additional engineering companies stands. Unsure of its worth as I have never been on a trade day before.

Thursday/Friday are IMO the best days to go if you compete or have an interest in competing.

Saturday/Sunday tends to weigh more heavily towards the Jensen Button baseball cap wearers with Fosters dribbling down their chins. Mind you, the last time I went on the weekend it was Damon Hill baseball caps so things might have changed - just sources tell me otherwise.

No, it's as you describe, we went on the Saturday last year after years of going on the trade days.

I won't make that mistake twice (going tomorrow).

Ditto. I only went on a weekend once and that was years ago. Have been going up on a Friday for at least the last 10 years and as has been said, great opportunity to chat with suppliers, etc, if you are a competitor.

I'm heading up tomorrow too.

Hoping to make some deals on buying my racing clobber for my first racing this coming season.

Yup. Fancied doing something a bit different and have ended up doing something very different! Ive bought a Porsche 1975 3.0RS (replica) but with an HTP to Appendix K regs and have enetered the CSCC " Future Classics" series - if you end up doing any of the Magnificent 7 rounds I'm sure we'll meet up. A very big grid in R300's should put a big smile on Caterham Midlands face! Make sure you are at the front! I've also been speaking to DPR about sharing the odd drive in Britcar's Caterham series but we'll have to see if anyone is willing to entrust their car with me given my DNF record!

I am sure that you will enjoy Future classics. The club also has the Magnificent Seven series for the 7 type racers who want 40 min races or to share a car.

It was free into hall 4 thurs and fri, but not the weekend. Bit of a shame they feel the need to charge.
