The K&R Mitsubishi Stages Rally is all systems go for a great weekend of rallying in the Brean Leisure park, Somerset over the weekend of 30th and 31st January
With a present entry of over 70 competitors gathered from all parts of the South West and beyond, the organisers are expecting some close competition throughout the classes.

Top seeded drivers already entered are, Peter Lloyd, the winner at Brean in 2009 in his Subaru Impreza S12 WRC, Dave Kynaston Audi A3 Quatro, Steve Furzeland Subaru Impreza WRC, Karl Broad, MG Metro 6R4, Dick Mauger, Ford Focus WRC, Simon Mauger, Ford Escort, James Harvey Subaru Impreza, Dave Parnell Ford Escort, Julian Wilkes Vauxhall Nova.

The event is the opening round of the CMSG Rally Championship and with many contenders eager to get the new season under way, there Is sure to be some strong competition through the field.Organised by the regular team from the past 13 years but now under Club Rallysport West, the rally is this year supporting the charity, ‘Help for Heroes’, and will be assisted by cadets from the 3 services. In addition each competitor is being asked to obtain personal sponsorship on behalf of the rally to boost donations. Representatives from the charity will also be in attendance throughout the weekend.

The organisers have once again ensured that spectators are well catered for, with covered seated grandstands and heated al-fresco snacks available in the spectator zone. All other indoor catering facilities will also be available within the park. Other attractions will include static displays by the Mitsubishi Owners Club and Mini owners club as well as trade stands.

Spectators will be admitted to the park over both days of the rally by way of a car parking charge only, which will include a souvenir rally programme. The park opens both days from 8am and further information can be obtained through the rally website, www.crswrallies.co.uk
