Ok not really Club Motorsport but mods bear with me....

There is a chance for you to all setlle the "who's fastest at Silverstone" without anyone being able to use the "Big book of Racing drivers excuses"

....The Silverstone Half Marathon... http://adidashalfmarathon.co.uk/ 14th March

No tyre issues, No punctures, No mechanical failures, No jump starts, No stewards enquiries...

Just Driver vs. Driver on foot

It's an excellent way to get rid of the extra ballast you're about to put on in the next day or so... and it'll get you in to shape for the start of the race season.

PLUS its all for Charity... which means you get that feel good factor too.

There are already a few racers that have said yes to it and Melindi at Goldtrack is not only entering the event herself but she's helping me rustle up some more drivers.
If we can get a decent number together then my contacts at the press office will make a big thing of it with the local press which means your chosen Charity and your race team gets an extra big up...

Any one on the F1 calender is excused becaus its a race weekend.. but the rest of you... C'mon....

Let me know if you do enter or indeed if you already have so that I can keep the press office up to date.

Melindi is doing it?

Would be rude not to, I am entered for the London Marathon again in April where I'm going for a new record. A personal one that is to get inside (cough and say it quickly) 5hrs.

Silverstone Half marathon was obviously a good checkpoint but I'd been put off by the times everyone did previously - I only have two speeds, a walk and a jog which has been described as a sort of "half lumber", so longer events disguise my lack of pace..

I am the living embodiment of that Yellow Pages ad from the 80's - "Eeh, it's like sittin on a razor blade.."

No one in the world could be slower than me. I shall be your reverse benchmark. What i lack in speed I shall make up for with late braking and perfect apexes.

You're on.

Mind you I went to the gym this morning and as I sweatily walked back to the changing rooms, a bare chested black version of Arnie walked towards me and started chuckling, which I thought was frankly rather alarming but there you go.

It transpired he was chuckling over my "Sex, drugs and Sausage Rolls - Breakfast of Champions" t-shirt* rather than my moobs or a lustful intent (at least I hope so) but it should be said I am not expecting to be a front runner here..

There's a bloke on this forum somewhere called Soapy Shower Boy who may be able to shed a little more light on why that man was smiling at you... sweetie.
