What can i race?

Im looking to get into a bit of racing hill climbs sprint airfields.
Looking for something low powered and front wheel drive so i can learn but worried the lack of power
will p***s other people of so looking for some where there is a class for small engined cars.

2cv racing should fit the bill then.Have a look at www.2cvracing.co.uk there are usually cars to rent as well as buy,the racing's close and not rough, the added bonus is the 24hr race at the end of the season.

I race in the Metro Cup ( www.mgmetrocup.co.uk ). Good size (at least mid 20's) grids & growing. Very cheap competitive club racing.

sprinting has classes for all sorts of cars. road going under 1400c was usually the home of minis but now you get things like the MG ZR (1.4), suzuki swifts (1.3), fiesta zetecs (1.25), peugeot 106 rallyes/XSIs (1.3/1.4) and so on. all can be bought dead cheap and need just a bit of minor fettling to get you through scrutineering.
