Awesome weekend racing.... Really looking forward to it!
My son had a bit of an incident coming into the Brooklands complex bidding to take the lead. Spoilt our day really as we had tremendous pace. We were flying.

Crikey that was a big one i take it your son was ok?http://www.youtube.com/user/jnrjnr01#p/a/u/0/Oyptb...
Yeah, he's fine. Just a bit disapointed as he was being held up by Rory at the time. Afterwards Rory told Stu he had braked really early as he was being very cautious. just caught Stu out as he hadn't even considered braking at that point. One of those things really.
Car is not too bad either. Its done the rollhoop, 2 corners, 1 wheel, scuffed the nosecone, and cracked a sidepod. No other body damage at all. Oh, and his helmet is written off as he was propping the car up with it.
www.jacobebrey.com has a sequence on page 33 of his WHT gallery. Scary.

Wife and I rushed to the medical centre where Stu was being looked at. They had to check his blood pressure 3 times as it was so normal. Stuarts main problem was he felt he had let us all down!!!
As parents and competitors ourselves (bit of a history, both wifey and I have competed) we quickly realised that it was a racing accident and, yes, Stu had been damn lucky. Could have been a lot different if he had had his Hans device on for instance. But, thats life, so whilst we are all very grateful to lady luck, you just have to ignore it and carry on....

Suppose that's kyboshed Pete O's outing at Anglesey on 29 November then.Seriously though, I was pleased to see that Stu emerged unscathed.
Fashion tip to Ian G. If you are going to do the full can I, can't I, oh I think I can climb over the barrier to help bro bit, take the tea cosy off your head fella.

He was also trying to make sure the marshalls didn't cause more damage to the car. Stu rolled a Formula Renault at Snetterton once. It was a really slow speed accident. He spun the car and let it roll back off the track rather than present a target for following cars.
It dug in and and gently tipped upside down. The marshalls lifted the car onto its side, Stu hopped out and then they let it drop onto its wheels. That cost £19k. Bent all the suspension upwards, smashed the floor, damaged the underside of the sidepods, cracked the block and fecked the gearbox.
Well done lads we thought.
I'll relay the fashion advice to Ian. I'll tell him to take a leaf out of your book, LOL
Big problem for getting the car out for Anglesey is the rollhoop repair. Car has to be taken down to a bare chassis to sort it. Anyway, it's far too fast for Peter to have a go in anyway, he's still a novice. (I'm sure you will read this Peter, hahaha.)
On a serious note, the end of term Anglesey meeting is good value for money and a good event to do.
