CTCRC Autoglym Classic Festival 2009 25th July
Discussion
The Classic Touring Car Racing Club with support from Autoglym are staging our first inhouse club run meeting at the revamped Lydden Hill circuit on the Saturday 25th July.
Thus far we have a full grids for both the Pre-66 races and are now taking reserves. Alongside those we are also running the Post Historic Touring Cars (Pre-74), Group 1 (Pre-83), Pre-93 Touring Cars, Classic Thunder incorporating the Boss Ford series which is producing some very exciting cars and racing plus two invitation races for Sports & Saloons. Entries are still open for all events and usual memberships will not be required so if interested please contact Pete Edwards or see here for full details and entry form etc. http://www.classictouringcars.com/index.asp
There will also be other things happening on the day like a static car display and anyone wanting to bring down an old vehicle worthy of display will get a reduced entry to the track. We are hoping for some sort of aerial display and the RedBull girls will be there as well handing out freebies (steady chaps!).
We are hoping this will become an annual Classic and Historic event at the circuit and any support by any at PistonHeads members as either entrants or spectators would be most welcome to ensure its success. I will hopefully be bringing out my 2nd gen Camaro (just finishing off the engine) and Chris Bright will be debuting his 1st gen model. There will also be full televison coverage of the event.
Hope to see some of you there.

Hi Guys, sorry for the late reply I don't seem to have my notification thing set up correctly. Wow nice to hear from you Joe, how are you?
Along with the full grids for the Classics and Historics the Post Historic, Group 1 and Pre 93 grids are almost full now, if you haven't entered yet but want to race you'll need to be quick to get one of the last few places.
With split Classic Thunder and BOSS races there's still space on these grids.
There are also places left on the Sports & Saloon double header grid. If you want extra track time or fancy sharing your car with another driver you might want to consider entering these.
Also if you own a car that can't normally race with the CTCRC (sports cars, kit cars etc) and you would like to be on the telly get your entry in quick. Don't worry if you are not a CTCRC member as the race entry includes membership for the weekend.

No but you probably can in the Sports and Saloon race at Lydden, is it ready to rumble? May be able to pull strings and get it in Classic Thunder as well, not sure.
BTW Joe I still have those two silencers you made me, unfortunately they are too noisy with the new regs so I had to change the system. They were on the IROC-Z Rob when I met you at Rockingham, do you remember all the trouble I had there, I thought they were gonna lynch me when I took the SuperTrapps off and raced!
