Hi..

Can someone please help me with a bit of info (link to a website or otherwise) - on what is the ideal operating temperature range for Avon slicks?
(i.e. at what temperature do they work best during a race)

I'm having no luck finding any info on Avon's website...

(its a light car on soft compound radials)

Cheers,
Dylan

Interested in replies to this, I have Silverstones slicks on a 600 KG Sylva, and get a uniform temp acros the tyres of 70 Degree C, ( I run the front right 2 psi lower than the others) measurement is immediatly after stopping in the pit lane, so must be higher on the track. Silverstone tell me that is within the tyre operating range.

Try ringing up Avon motorsport division. They are very helpful I have found.

They are normally quite surprised about how little people ask them about their products.

i had a fisher fury blade, the pressures to get 21.5 all round were RL-16,RR-17,FL-18 and FR-19.
