Silverstone camping- this weekend.

Bare with me on this as it maybe a dopey question!
I am competing at Silverstone this sunday (7th June) and as such looking to camp, preferably on site on the saturday evening. I have phoned up the circuit office and they said (now obviously) they dont allow camping onsite. If I was to set up my tent next to my car would I be kicked off site and banned from competeing that weekend? If so anyone know a good cheap b+b or camp site nearby? Thanks

I don't know how many of the campsites will be operational this weekend as most are only running for the big events (GP, Classic, WSR). There is also a B&B list as well.

We are also racing there this weekend and you will find that many will be stopping in the Paddock either sleeping in the "Transit Ritz",in their cars or motorhomes, not sure about where you can pitch a tent as it's all hardstanding in the Paddock, there is a travel lodge down the road, but it may be booked up. try www.lastminute.com

If you go outside of the main paddock and head down the old runway towards the National Straight and Becketts there's loads of grass to camp on, and toilets close by. You'll find others there I'm sure.
