Some shots from Sunday's racing, hoping to get the single seaters on later today.

The red Alfa belongs to a couple of chaps I work with, great photos.

I watched them race at Brands and was impressed. The blue MkII Fiesta was very well driven and bloody fast too!

You have mail - I've ordered a couple. Great shots.

Did you take any of the single seaters? I was in the 2000 grid, in the red Dallara, and I'm always looking for good photos.

Tristan,

Just in case Carl's not looked at this thread I'll give him a personal nudge tomorrow.

What was the problem in Sunday's race? Such a shame.....

I could tell you what went wrong, but then I'd have to kill... me, out of shame!

Okay, okay. The throttle cable snapped. Yes, snapped. Not came undone (bad prep), or broken welds on throttle levers (bad prep) or anything that was 'our fault'. And that's actually worse in a way.

We had a throttle stop, and it was set carefully. The cable was free in the inner, and the carbs were free too... It just snapped - probably chafing through somewhere inside where we could never see it...

Anyway, it'll be fixed for Donington on Sunday smile

I always run twin thottle cables to avoid DNFs from failure of a pennies part. Worth the effort for a quick mod I reckon.

I also use stainless steel mountain bike cables they have teflon liners and are a million times smoother and stonger than the galvanised steel tosh that are normally peddelled as throttle cables (IMHO)

I'd love to, but there just isn't room in the monococque for a second cable. We are at the mercy of Dallara's original design.

Our cable is a high quality, lined outer, but the inner must have been rubbing against something or mistreated in the past. Anyway, it's back on, and we're all set for Donington on Sunday. And it's supposed to rain, which is always interesting...
