Been offered a cheap (seems it to me anyway) Mercedes 814 7.5ton box truck. Comes with full awning and click flooring and a tail lift. Would make perfect transport for the car and mechanic space.

I'm just wondering what kind of problems you can run into with these? What sort of fuel consumption do you get?

Any experience/advice much appreciated.

you dont say what year ? but from my experience about 15-18 mpg
now a bit dated but probable one of the toughest 7.5 ton trucks ever made, get a good'un & if you look after it, it will last for another 10 years.
no major bad points, apart from pourus spring bake chambers on front axle

It's a K reg matey. Needs new ARBS for MOT but apart from that seems a very decent buy.
