Corner weight Scales in West yorkshire?
Discussion
Hello,
this is my first post on PH although have stood in the wings enjoying many threads over the years.
I am a club racecar driver running an ex Metro Turbo Challenge car in The Drayton Manor MG Metro cup.
I have moved up from darn sarf to Yorkshire and basically I am on the scrounge!
I would like to find someone localish who has some corner weight scales, realy just to get an accurate weight measurement rather than use a public weigh bridge that are normally accurate by 10 give or take.
I can bring the car on the trailer no probs.
A few beer tokens or favours in return would be great.
Please take the time to glance over my website www.hc-racing.co.uk
Regards to all,
JF.

My local council weighbridge was very acurate on my 570 kilo car although as you say it was working at the lower end of its range and thus accuracy can suffer a little. They do keep them calibarated though and its worth while asking when this was last done if you cant find anyone to help out.

Cheers Pikeboy, yes these things have to be calibrated by law but i am realy after getting the EXACT weight down to the last kilo, the front runners are very close and that every last kilo will make a difference.
I expect some kind person will be able to help.

you need to remember that consistancy between circuit weighbridges isnt all ways the best. I used to allow for this by runinning slightly over the min weight limit. I think weight distribution is a better area to focus on than getting down to the absolute minium allowed in your class reg's although obviously you need to be within a few kilos.I expect some kind person will be able to help.

try john at jc racing www.JCracing.info
He's in Thirsk if that's any good and he'll get it weighed for you.
