The Classic Sports Car Club will be racing at the Spa Mid Summer Classic meeting over the weekend of July 4/5. This is a fantastic chance for UK based club drivers to race at the fabulous GP circuit at an affordable price.

The club has already contracted for one 1 hour + 1 Minute race with a grid of 75 cars but has already had over 120 people register their interest. As a result, the club has taken steps to give all interested Series competitors the opportunity to race at this historic circuit by taking on a second grid.

One grid will be for the club’s enormously successful “Swinging Sixties” type cars :The Classic Sports Car Club Swinging Sixties with TR Competition and MG Competitions and one grid will me made up of cars conforming to the club’s “Tin Tops”, “Future Classics” and “Gold Art Magnificent Sevens” series regulations: The Classic Sports Car Club Inter-Series Cup.

New members are welcome to register their interest. UK club racers rarely get the opportunity to race on such a prestigious venue at the value for money price of £450 and the club is delighted to provide this opportunity.

Further details are available from the CSCC Offices, Contact: Hugo Holder or Richard Culverhouse on 0844 8843260 during normal office hours.

What Andy fails to point out is that you need to be a full member of the CSCC and registered for one of their series plus you need to have completed at least two races with them this year.

You are quite right that you need to be a member of the CSCC (£25 ?), register for a series (can share costs between 2 drivers of same car) and complete 2 races - there is a very good reason for this - the club and the members do not want drivers in their races (especially at Spa and the ring) who are dangerous or crash into others.
However the club make it very easy as you can do 2 races at most events this year as they normally have a sports v saloons or general race.

The other great race the club does is at end of Sept at the full nurburgring - 500km for swinging sixties cars

The CSCC also has an invite to put a grid together for a race at Donington in support of Jonathon Palmers new F2 series in August (assuming Donington has race meetings by then).
