This year i am racing in the subaru cup. The car is 70% complete. Is there an alternative series to race in if i fancied something or somewhere else? Just an enquiry.

Depends where you are.

There are a number of "fairly open saloons" series' about.
In the south there is the Dunlop Motoring News Saloons run by the BARC-SE, if you're in the South West, then there's the Castle Combe Saloons (providing your car fits the rules which are fairly open), if you're in the North West, there are two choices - Anglesey are running an open saloons series, and there's the age-old BARC-NW Sports & Saloons.

In the north - there's the Darlington club's Northern Saloons.

There's Scottish variant too.

Nationally - there's the BRSCC's LMA Eurosaloons (if it's got wheels, a roof, and appears to be a car, it's in)

There are others that could let it in, but these are the ones that jump to the front of my mental list.

didnt I read something in autosport this week about a new anything goes series? I am sure it was midlands based. They said if it passed scrut and was a single seater you were in.

BRSCC NW is running a Libre Sports & Saloons Series, at three meetings at Anglesey & one meeting each at Mallory, Cadwell & Oulton - all, I believe, double-headers. It's pretty well an 'anything goes' series - if it's a closed wheel racing car, it's eligible.
