I'm after some views/help on tyre choise, in the past ive used yoko 48's as a control tyre, this year tyres are free, the car is Peugoet 306 1000 kilo & used to run on dunlops (200/580/r15 wets & slicks) in the production btcc, wots the best that arnt mega bucks & who's got the best deals for both slicks & a set of wets.
The yoko 48's will make spot on inter's but no good for lots of standing water

Define "mega bucks"
Are you sticking with 15" wheels?
If you are flexible about wheel size, then you may be able to source 2nd hand tyres from front running one make / control tyre series. All BTCC teams, Clio Cup teams etc need to have the best rubber at all times to run in a championship that is so competetive, and their tyres are "finished" after every race / quali session .... There are sources out there for used quali/practice tyres that would be good for your your series/budget. BTCC is 17". I think the clios are too. Mini Challenge are 16" Dunlops - A Full wet Dunlop on the minis knocks an amazingly small amount off of the lap times.
