2009 MSA regs

I have not got a 2009 blue book yet, so am not sure on this one.

Apparently we all (all MSA championships) have to run dry-break connectors in under-bonnet fuel lines. Does anyone know if they have to comply to specific regs.
Demon Tweeks are advertising a kit for about £180, which seems a bit stupid for something that will never be used. On another page they have simple dry-break coupling for £13. Is this suitable, and if not, has anyone got a cheaper alternative?

Anyone with the new book, is there anything else new that needs done?

If you do the Metro cup (your profile) I don't think you need the dry break coupling unless it is a named MSA championship or a new build car for racing.
The reg is C(b)19 which you can check online at msauk.org
If you need one then iirc Think Automotive do a reasonably priced one which works out at under £100 for the whole lot.
Looking in the DT cat. at the one you noted, you are paying a lot for bling on that kit. Do you need all those fancy anodised ally fittings?

Yes, it would be for the metro cup. I hadn't realised that the Blue book was available to download. Reg is as follows:

2009 Blue book said:

• With the exception of cars competing in Sprint and
Hill Climb roadgoing production category, cars
competing in British and MSA Titled Championships
for, and all new build cars for, Rallycross, Car Racing,
Special Stage Rallying, Sprints and Hill Climbs must
be equipped with the facility to enable a fuel sample to
be taken. For fuel injected cars the facility must be a
dry break fuel sampling coupling, approved by the FIA,
Competitors to carry and make available a 300mm
minimum length of hose to which, where necessary,
the appropriate mating part is to be attached.

I guess as it is (obviously) not listed with the British championships at the start of the blue book (though it is a championship rather than a series) we don't need one. More £ to spend making the car faster then.
