2CV 24hr racing at Snett

Could someone enlighten me with details as to how I find out more about this race? Please could you PM me if there is the chance of buying a race seat? Many thanks

All the details should be on the web-site www.2cvracing.co.uk/, loads of people usually buy a seat in the car that can even include insurance, fuel, food & the 6 hours behind the wheel!!!

I raced it in 2007, great fun, pretty much all the info is on the website above, a friend and I are loonking into buying a cr to put out in the 24hrs next year, I'll give you a shout if anything happens.

So there is, cheers Paul, do you know much about the car? Its got to be better than that POS that was "built" for Team PH in 2007, right?

definitely iain, james grantham was always a respected 2cv racer and the car will be as they have said.
I'm redoing that pos at the moment and the only thing it's got going for it is it's not rotten.

Cheers Paul, may well be intouch in the new year regarding sourcing a car for 2009. When working on that car be careful of the drivers seat, I may of had a bit of a bladder incident about 0200 during the race...no not really, hehe.

24 hrs in a 2CV. So, do they do 2 laps or 3?

Why do they do it at Snett? Surely any other track in the country would be a better choice eg Brands Indy, Cadwell, anywhere...

I'm going to have a go this year though....

this year it was August, last year it was May, keep an eye out on the website. as for circuits, of those you mention, Brands would never be allowed to race through the night due to the proximity of local houses, Cadwell you' struggle to get up the mountain, plus no garage complex! although I have seen it done in 2CVs but not for 24hrs. Snett provides pretty much everything you need
