Clubmans Series for Diesels
Discussion
The CSCC Tin Tops to be fair would offer the most laps per pound, you could even share the car with another driver as the series has 1 x 30mins qualifying session & 1 x 40mins race with a compulsory pit stop and/or driver change.
Have you alrady got the car, or considering building one?
Not sure if the LMA Eurosaloons allows diesels, but worth considering.
The Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup also allows diesels to enter.
VW cup has quite a few diesel cars (and vans!) in it, but is that level above club racing really. I've also seen diesels in the Alfa championship before.
Talk to the organising clubs & see what they suggest as I'm sure the BARC, BRSCC, CSCC, CCRC or even 750MC could provide advice.

Thanks all, I've been eyeing CSCC tintops as the way to go for some time and probably should have taken more time to read their reg's!
Give the CSCC a call. Either Richard Culverhouse or Hugo Holder will be more than happy to help. I'll be down at Snetterton in 2 weeks for their final meeting of the year, so pop along if you can make & talk to the other competitors there. The more information you have the better informed you are to make the right decision!andy97 said:
Not sure whether anyone has actually run a Diesel in CSCC Tin Tops but they are definately allowed. Its a good club and a good format of racing for getting good value for money.
There was a Peugeot 306 out in the series back in early 2006 I think. I remember seeing it at Snetterton. It was however a totally standard car other than rollcage etc. Haven't seen it out during 2008 though. The Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup, which caters for recent models (2003 onwards) has diesels on the eligible car list.
