Have you got your own transport to get a bit further away?
Williams are in Grove (wantage) and Renault are in Enstone.
Whilst you could classify them more as tuners, rather than race teams (despite both running and developing race cars) this is Norris Designs in Melksham, and Owen Developments are up the A420 ... can recall how to get there, but not the name of the town sadly.
If you wanted to shout a bit more fuel for your one day a week, then there are plenty of F1 teams up the road towards Silverstone (about an hour and a half), inc the main A1GP base, and also Prodrive in Banbury.
Approach them with the simple aim to spend a bit of time with their place looking at what goes or, and using your extensive water boiling and spanner passing skills, rather than aiming to get anything hands on to start with. You'll feel a little isolated at first, however will quickly be in the mix passing tools and components etc. Don't feel insulted when you are asked to "do the s
t jobs" like brake pedal pumping, and cleaning wheels ... That's all part of motorsport, and something everyone has and will have to do.
