I'm counting the hours! It's only been just over a month since I drove up Wiscombe Hill and I already have withdrawal symptoms! Should be a great weekend, it's a really full entry list.

In about 1985 I camped at Wiscombe in the field at the top behind Martini. It absolutely hurled it down all day - it was the weekend they mounted a big rescue mission on Dartmoor for the ten tors. I reckon the tent slid about 15ft down the hill during the day. Getting changed for drinks in the house with Col Chichester on Saturday evening was a challenge.

Sorts out who can drive though.....

I think I was at that meeting - I went there with my Dad who was testing his Royale RP26 ff1600. I was 16 at the time and remember Derek Mullis was driving his faithful Mini.

My first drive at the hill was in April 2004 in a Van Diemen RF85 when I broke the class record on my first timed run - Keith Harris beat it with his 1st run, so my record lasted a few minutes..

Awesome hill though

I ran up the hill on Saturday, my first hillclimb! Was really suprised how slippery the hill was and also how close the banks/tyres/trees are if things go wrong. Great event all round, lovely location, challenging hill, very slick organisation and great people.
Absolutely mental in the wet though!!
