The FRC should just be a class within LMA EuroSaloons, in my view. EuroSaloons is often oversubscribed so with the FRC joining in there would be enough cars for 2 good grids & build up the Fiat interest from there. Either that or the cars would be very competitive within the CSCC Tin Tops series, probaby in Class D.Yes I am connected! Sorry. You can't blame me for talking up the series though. It really is great fun racing, cost effective with the HGT ready to race for about 4k. We are pushing for new entries for next year. Its too good as a stand alone series to get amalgamated with the LMA's.
Nothing wrong with talking up your area of interest! Maybe best to start a "Fiat Racing Challenge" thread rather than one in entitled "Rockingham" - also, plenty of people on here, and other forums, have regularly asked about cheap form of racing, or want advice racing suitable for novices, contribute to those threads with good info and realistic costs.
And (my turn to plug a series now!) if you want to try something a bit different, come along to a CSCC meeting and think about entering the odd 40 min "mini-enduro" race - 2 drivers can share a car (and therefore costs) and the costs per minute of track time are already amongst the lowest in UK club racing, I think. It would be good to get some more Fiats out, to join me, in the smaller capacity classes.

I was thinking about entering later in the season, we finish the beginning of September which is a bit early for my liking.
I would be more than happy to discuss costs with people regarding the FRC and its a bonus that the cars are eligible elsewhere in equally good value series.
At the end of the season CSCC Tin Tops have races at Cadwell on Sept 6 or 7th, Castle Combe on Oct 4th and Snetterton on Oct 18 or 19. A 30 min practice and a 40 min race at somewhere like Snett usually cost about £285 We usually get pit garages where applicable, too.I would be more than happy to discuss costs with people regarding the FRC and its a bonus that the cars are eligible elsewhere in equally good value series.
