I'm lucky as castle Combe's just 25 mins away from me and Thruxton only 40 mins but we do go to Brands at least twice a year that's a round trip of 270 miles Worth it for the Fford festival thosmile

As posted in the fuel section, this year to half way through the season I have done 2,350 miles for 4 meetings and 1 test day. (I suppose that doesn't include a few other subside parts of the racing, picking up parts from round the country.. so probably add another 600 miles on top of that)

Different to circuit stuff, but I travel from Berkshire to the Isle of Mull for the Tour and to Yorkshire for the Trackrod - those two trips add up to over 1800 miles by the time you add all the driving at the events themselves.

We go to wherever the races in our series are held. Furthest this year were Croft and Pembrey.

For spectating at events, we don't go very far, but we have lots on our doorstep.

Anglesey, 6 hours has been our furthest excursion this year.
Belguim was the furthest we have ever travelled back in 2003 & 2007.

An entertaining part of a long boring journey to a circuit is spotting other racers.

While heading north up the M1 early Saturday morning, we spotted cars going south to Brands and Silverstone, plus various other racing cars going to ?

Heading home on Sunday eve we spotted more racing cars and also spotted one from Saturday morning (Evo X towing a mini (Brands?))!

15 Miles to Knockhill but it takes so much longer when using the truck or wee transporter!

5 hours to Oulton Park going, and 4 back is the furthest I'll be going this year, but will be once more in August. Went to Cadwell last year, I forget how long that took, but went up in stages as we stopped once at Santa Pod to put it up the drag strip and then at a friends house for a pitstop.

Usually it's been 2 hours max for most circuits I've visited.

Our championship is considering trying to organise some events overseas, but it seems like it would probably be done outside of the championship if we can get the drivers together for it.

Im fortunate that i live in the Midlands as Donnington,Mallory,Silverstone, and Rockingham are less than an hour away from me. Castle Combe is about 2 hours as is Oulton Park my race race Transporter averages about 2500 miles per year.

I will be stretching my legs slightly at the end of the month with a visit to Anglesey racing with the CSCC Swinging Sixties ive not had the pleasure of Croft Pembrey Knockhill or Lydden yet.

To answer the question i will travel as far as i can afford my Iveco Transporter averages about 26 MPG and with Diesel prices going to ridiculous levels looks like i will be staying close.

Cadwell is as far as I'd go now a days (live in Surrey cars in Swindon), and only going next weekend as someone has done a mega cheap deal for a double header - normally I'd say that is too far for the Narrow Mini Ring. Not been there for 9 years!

Wherever the championship takes me, so pembrey, lydden, anglesey, spa, croft, knockhill not a problem. Some of the best circuits in the country.
