Hi all, ex club/state level racer in Perth WA here.

I'm back in England for a couple of weeks in March and was hoping to get to a race meeting while I'm there.

I've searched the internet and can't find anything other than a "Goodwood Members Meeting". I've always wanted to go to Goodwood but never in the country at the right time for the revival.

Are public entry tickets available for this event?

Any other events in the South on the weekend of 15/16 March?

Cheers

Goodwood MM is12/13 April. If you are still here do go - it is fantastic. If you ask about tickets on here someone will be able to help . March is a pretty quiet month - there's a CSCC event at Silverstone 8/9 which weirdly isn't yet on the circuit website yet. April is much livelier

Shows Goodwood MM as 15/16 March?

Google wasn't much help (as usual!) and that was one of very few links which showed anything other than F1 and Moto GP

Unfortunately this one is a quick trip, arriving 7/3 and leaving 23/3, 15-16th is my only full weekend there

At the moment the only race meeting I can see that weekend is a MSVR club Endurance event at Snetterton (and that isn't on their website as yet)

There is however the Dukeries Rally on at Donnington Park

Ah , you'll miss it I'm afraid. My ticket is booked for 12/13 April and Goodwood website confirms that is the date. Duff info on the ...err...'comprehensive guide'

Come back soon one Spring and take in Cadwell, Prescott and Goodwood and you will go home a happy man

BRSCC has its season opener at Silverstone on the 15/16 March. I would recommend that you check the timetable, and perhaps avoid the day when the C1 Endurance race is taking place (not exactly what I'd call spectator friendly).

As mentioned above, this rally runs at Donington on the Sunday.

If you’re in the UK when it’s on then Members’ Meeting is worth going to. IMO it’s by far the best event at Goodwood. If there are tickets left you don’t need to be a ‘member’, but, you do need to be a ‘fellow’. Which costs c £80 to join.

If you’re only around early March you will get a warm welcome in the CSCC paddock at Silverstone, however, I expect it to be a cold weekend. The races on Saturday may be more interesting (swinging sixties).

Thanks for the link to the BRSCC event, that sounds perfect, and on my free weekend! I'm planning to visit a cousin in the Midlands too so that ties in nicely!

Glad that works out ok, and just hope it doesn't snow too much. The C1 race appears to be on the Sunday, and will be 3 hours long...

Yep, MSV at Snetterton for the season opener. Sprint racing on Saturday and the KA Enduro on Sunday.

I can't find a link to the actual timetable, any ideas?

Still too early for the detailed event timetable, but it should become available on the link above. I worked out the C1 race day from their season calendar.

I've locked this event in my planner, not sure which day pending the timetable release.

Anyone else attending? Don't get much chance for a PH meetup in Perth these days! (We used to have a regular group of around 6 of us about 15 years ago, but all drifted off!)

I've decided to drive up Saturday, hopefully see some of the racing, the museum, and planning to book into the hotel at the track (anyone stayed there? I like the look of the rooms with a balcony overlooking the track!)
Then I'll see all of Sunday's races (but probably leave during the C1 endurance race!)

Yes, stayed at The Hilton Silverstone on Monday night and will again next Saturday.

I heard if you want to book a balcony room for the first weekend in July the cost is £42,000. The only snag is you’re not allowed to sleep there.

Awesome! I've booked a balcony room for Saturday 15/3 (ah just realised that's the week after you) I had wondered if it would be an option for the F1... perhaps not!
