Monitor under bonnet temps
Discussion
Hi everyone,
Racing in club motorsport and would like to investigate the under bonnet temps in my car to try and improve heat soak and then air flow, to find best place to make sure bonnet vents etc
What ways has anyone used to measure under bonnet temps but more importantly than just temp, areas where the heat is?
If you take example of tyre sensnors you can use to show you heat during a lap coupled up with VBOX is there any sensors I could put on for a test day to get a picture under the bonnet of where the highest temps are and then test as I try and address that etc?
Thanks!

Yeah have a standalone ECU could log to or happy to put one in but was wondering if there were temp senors with their own receiver that might exist that I just don't know about or something along those lines
you can buy standalone gauges, logging devices, whatever you want really. There are plenty of options. But surely the cheapest will just be buy a £15 sensor and wire it to your ecu and log it there ?
