Best place to try on race wear?
Discussion
I’m looking for advice on the best retail outlet to try on race wear. I’ve been karting for 20+ years and am going to finally make the step to circuit racing in a car, probably EnduroKa.
So I need to buy a new helmet, HANS device, suit, gloves, boots and undergarments. I would quite like to try some of this stuff on rather than just order online, particularly for the HANS device which I’ve never used before. Where would people recommend? Grand Prix Racewear Silverstone (1 hour drive for me) or Demon Tweaks (2 hour drive), or somewhere else? I’m based in the Midlands. Appreciate any advice.

I recommend Rob Brook at Clubman Motorsport near York.
I am also in the Midlands ( near Donington Park) but it it is worth travelling to see Rob for his one to one personal service, he is immensely knowledgeable and very helpful.
Rob is better known in rallying circles but should be the first port of call for club level competitors in any discipline.

As an aside, we'll be opening our new showroom space in Chester late Autumn..ideally situated 15 minutes from Oulton Park, en route to Anglesey and of course right in rally country !
Having dealt predominately racewear for the last ten years, I would say don't discount made to measure...it actually only costs around £150 over a standard euro sized suit and the comfort difference is huge. We'll be continuing as main dealers for Marina in the UK whilst also taking back on HRX Bespoke. www.lhmotorsport.co.uk
Very best of luck in competing
