Fire extinguishers

Hi all,
I'm hoping i can seek some information from those who have fire extinguisher systems (both plumbed in and handheld) in their race cars.
Our fire protection business has been approached by a few customers recently to enquire about servicing their plumbed in systems and handhelds. In principle its something we can easily do as we usually service systems that are much more complex and on a larger scale. However, i have been made aware that systems fitted to cars raced in UKMS or FIA events need to be serviced by the manufacturer or their approved service agents. therefore anything we'd service for our customers wouldn't be valid unless we were approved by the manufacturer to carry this out if the car is going racing.
Can i ask what the big decider is for you when it comes to choosing a system? no doubt price is the key factor, are there other things you take into consideration with some brands that you might not with others? I'd imagine there will be a few people who have track cars with systems fitted, but wont be racing them. Are they bound by similar rulings for track days too?
We've been approached by one manufacturer after making some enquiries and asked if we'd like to become a service agent for them. But we'd like to make sure we've done some thorough research before making any decisions.

I think that all plumbed in fire extinguishers in cars have to be homologated now and to maintain homologation they have to be serviced by a manufacturers authorised agent.
In terms of factors that influence my choice of agent - price of the service is important but location is probably the most important factor. Getting a fire extinguisher to an agent is a complete PITA so if there was an authorised agent local to me I would use them, or an age t that was prepared to turn up at a test day and do a number of services “whilst we waited” for eg.
