Affordable accommodation near Thruxton
Discussion
There are some decent pubs in the area which offer B&B and a much nicer experience that the Premier Inn.
The Hatchet Inn at Lower Chute is worth a look and no more than 15 minutes from the circuit.
The Hawk in Amport had a few people from our grid staying there last time we were out at Thruxton.
The Peat Spade at Longstock is nice and a decent pub as well.
A little further but not much (and good roads to get there) is The Red Lion at East Chisenbury and they have a separate building for B&B. Its TOP quality food (1 Michelin Star but its not pretentious - its just a pub!) and you pay for it accordingly but if you are travelling and staying with another half its a good option to recover some brownie points for a race weekend away I would suggest!

Thanks for the suggestions/recommendations. Reading the Goverment Guidelines we can only go self catering until the 17th of May so we are going to book an AirBnB possibly in Andover (which is fairly close to the track?). We are only an hour and a half away from Thruxton but (and this is a first for us and only because I have never driven the track) we are doing the track day on the Friday before the Saturday race and staying on to watch the Sunday races so it would be nice to stay local over the weekend.
Take spare rubber, the near side tyres take a hell of a pounding! I was at Thruxton last season for the first time in many years', I had forgotten how quick it is.
Getting back to to the issue of accommodation, Andover & Amesbury, opposite directions on the A303, are a short hop from the circuit. Also as mentioned, plenty of villages where you may find options. Personally I would steer clear of the Prem Inn at Solstice Park if I needed to leave kit in a car/van overnight, the location is like a cross between a truck stop and a business park.
