Which is the best value removable wheel boss without a lot of (or any play?), without spending large sums of money? I see the splined ones seem better than hex profile - any suggestions please with an eye on the budget end of the range?

I use the B&G ones. Very easy to use which is a major help in driver change pit stops.

Thanks Dan, but not much in the way of pics etc on the site - is it splined? Does it come with a weld on slug or something else?

I use a Motacorsa one (https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/motacorsa-quick-release-steering-wheel-boss-mtcqrb1/) I've had no issue with it regarding free play and it held up in a big crash which bent the steering wheel (I've bought a new boss for the new car).

No question that the “Rapfix” boss is the best one to use in my opinion. No slop as the ball bearings are spring loaded to take up any slack caused by any wear and they do not need to be located accurately on a spline when fitting. - saves time at pit stops.
Available from “Plays-Kool” in the north east.
