What are you doing, anything new, different or the same?

I’m going to finally get my Anglia working properly, do a season and sell it to get back into the (slower, but family heirloom) 100e.

With the cash released, I’m still wondering. Some (boringly) towards the mortgage in the vain hope I’ll be able to retire early, the rest (probably) towards a fun fast road classic, maybe a ginetta.

Same as this year out marshalling at various events (race, sprint, rally, hill-climb, rally x etc,) also some training. Help a little with organising a few events. May actually manage to get out and spectate at a couple of events in 2020. Just been going through some photographs and it is 10 years since I went to an event to to specifically photograph it.

I'll be doing the same as last year.
Out in my mx5 but this year our grid is changing to allow any Mazda be it mx5 or RX8 to compete.
If anyone is interested in what's changing shout up and I'll help all I can....

Entering 3 cars into the BMW 116i Trophy series and doing the Birkett.

Quite looking forward to more club level mini endurance racing

Might also see if I can do a 3 or 6 hour race in EnduroKA

Quite a bit of instructing already booked and should be doing some more safety car driving. If my 106 hasn’t sold I’ll probably get it out in 750 Roadsports at some point and there was a suggestion about doing the C1 24 at Silverstone again.

continue with my 100 hour track day challenge in the Twingo, do selected rounds of the Hot Hatch championship in the 106, may be then sell the 106 to build a Twingo 197 for class B. It all depends on money, of which I have very little.

Passenger car autotesting in a Starlet and a few rallies in the Fiesta if I can save up to get the work done on it and pay for the events themselves !

It will hopefully be my first year getting into motorsport with sprinting/hillclimbing in a road going car. I've been wanting to give it a go for ages and dipping my toe in for 4 to 6 events next year which I cant wait for but nervous on getting through all the licences, entries and scrutineering before taking part at my first event

2019 was my busiest race season to date and I’ll be cutting back in 2020. The CALM Porsches are set to race at both Spa and Zandvoort, so I might just do those two weekends as I’ve not raced outside the U.K. at all yet.

Hopefully doing all of the 750mc club enduro rounds in an e36 318is

Did 3 rounds last year but was about 40-45 bhp down on the max power to weight. Hoping a number of mods will have got us close to the class max of 180 bhp/ton.

Along with a shorter ratio LSD in place of the old open diff we’re hoping for a few better results.

More power or less weight Andy?

A good 36 should do well wink.

A bit of both, I’m no engineer but so far had the head ported and polished, new intake plenum with larger throttle body, double valve springs, larger injectors all to make the most of the stand alone ecu and catcams we put in last year. Should be able to rev to around 8000.

Probably would have been an awful lot easier to just use a 328 engine but I like the way the 4 cylinder handles.

Should have a power figure early jan and see what weight reduction is needed to get us to 180 bhp/ton, hoping for about 185 bhp which would mean I don’t need to spend too much more lightening the car

Fingers crossed it move us forward a fair bit, also going from a 3.45 open diff to a 4.1 LSD should make a reasonable difference.

After that it might be worth looking at different suspension as we’re only using gaz golds at the moment, which are fine but there’s better options out there
