Hi guys,

A couple of friends and me are talking about buying a car and prepare it for endurance racing, so we can share costs and seat time.

However, all of us already have trackday cars, and we have no space left to store an extra car. Where do you guys usually do these things?

We want to rent a place, but after looking on the internet it seems like we can only find either a ultra-small crappy garage in the dodgiest corner of the city or a commercial unit with stupidly expensive monthly costs...

I've thought about asking local garages for a spare corner in their shop, but I'm not sure if that's gonna work, if we might find problems in the future...

Any other advice about creating a small racing team with friends, is welcome too!!

thanks!

Have you tried some local farms for covered storage/barns? They tend to be more flexible and not so fussed about council planning issues around car workshops, than landlords on an industrial estate would be.

I've searched something like that on google, but obviously couldn't find anything.

I'll try driving around and asking in person. thanks

Find a helpful farmer to store a trackday car, leaving you a home garage in which to build, where you'll have a better supply of tools / power / cups of tea.

Have you tried to find a local council garage?

They tend now to be run by housing associations.

Also in terms of building/converting the racing car have you seen the the workshops ramps you can rent on an hourly/half day/daily basis?
