Gen 1 formula E car?
Discussion
Most of the Gen 1 cars were owned by Formula E, with only a couple of teams owning the cars i.e. venturi.
all the cars are the same other than the inverter/motor(s)/ transmission which was free ( within certain paramaters)
so there is probably a good chunk of proprietary technology from the likes of audi in that part of their cars that you wouldnt get. a bit like buying a 90's f1 car for 10 years plus you couldnt buy the renault v10 to go with it.
Some of the spares from spark were getting a bit thin towards the end of last season as the concentrated on the gen 2 car.
Your biggest problem is probably going to be someone to supply you the batteries, as they had a team from williams looking after them, which has probably now been disbanded as iirc the gen 2 battery is mclaren.
I can imagine running one would be a huge pain in the ass without something organised by fe. it would be much easier and cheaper to drop in a combustion engine and trans hehe

I am not sure how it would work for a track day but for test days / competitions you would find the chances of being able to run somewhere close to 0 (on the high side!).
At the moment, Motorsport UK adhere to the FIA regulations for running any hybrid or EV vehicles (even just for demonstration runs) which require fully trained rescue crews, all the full PPE and 40,000 litres (no - that's not a typo) of water to be on standby just in case of an accident. Full requirements are here: https://www.motorsportuk.org/assets/guidance-hybri...
So far, no venue has the capability to cope with these requirements at all. Formula E is only allowed to run because they ferry an entire support crew with the series that is a "self-contained" rescue system and which complies with all safety requirements.
Of course, for private use none of that applies but would be worth thinking about.
